Let’s Talk allows students to meet for an informal confidential consultation with a UWB Counseling Center counselor. 

Although Let’s Talk consultations are with mental health professionals, this service is not a substitute for formal counseling and does not constitute mental health treatment.

Let’s talk could be helpful for: 
-    Students who are not sure about counseling and are wondering what it’s like to talk with a counselor.
-    Students who are not interested in ongoing counseling but would like the perspective of a counselor
-    Have a specific problem they would like to talk through
-    Students who have a concern about a friend and would like some perspective about what to do

Let’s Talk is not a good fit for:
-    Students experiencing current thoughts of wanting to hurt themselves or someone else
-    Students with concerns for their safety

Springfest Event

Hello everyone! The Diversity Center is hosting an African Fashion Show that will be taking place on 15 May from 5-7pm. We hope to highlight African fashion and the diversity that exists on the African continent. We are hoping to have a diverse array of models representing fashion from throughout the continent from Ethiopia to Egypt, from Nigeria to Namibia, and beyond. Furthermore, Ethiopian food will be present!

Student Media is hosting the inaugural Spring Fest Film Fest this year! This is a film showcase event where students are given the opportunity to submit their films to be shown in front of a wide audience and talk about their creative process.

Join us for boba and chat about everything books! Husky Book Club is hosting our first social of the year and all students are invited to come, socialize, and learn more about our club! This event will offer students a chance to learn more about book clubs, socialize, and enjoy boba in a relaxed environment along with a special author appearance, Elaine U Cho, the author of Ocean's Godori(our current BOTM)!

Join us for the first-ever Rave at the UW Bothell. This is the first time our campus is hosting an event like this. We're bringing the energy, creativity, and good vibes to make it unforgettable.

Join the Outdoor Wellness team as we splash down the Sammamish River in canoes! No canoeing experience is necessary to participate in this program - we will provide all the instruction you need.

Price: Free for Cascadia and UW Bothell Students
Level 2: Suitable for most health levels, little to no equipment needed and no experience needed. Trip includes around 1-3 hours of physical activity and/or uneven terrain and elevation change.
Registration opens: Sunday April 27, 2025 at 12:00a (midnight). Open to Cascadia and UW Bothell Students ONLY.
Trip registration includes: Canoeing equipment and instruction.
Participants will need: Comfortable clothing, waterproof layers*, waterproof boots (or shoes you don’t mind getting wet)*, a full water bottle*, sunscreen, sunglasses*.

Cascadia and El Centro Cultural received state funding to make recommendations on how to improve Latino educational achievement. We are giving $50 gift certificates to every Latino student and $50 to every family member who participates in a 20-30 minute interview. Senior & Family Celebration is an event hosted by UW Bothell Alumni Engagement Office - this event is a celebratory space for soon-to-be-graduates to celebrate their upcoming accomplishment with their families as well as a welcome to being an alum of UW Bothell!

RSVPs are encouraged however they are not required to attend the event.

Join us as we officially kick off SpringFest with a celebratory ribbon cutting! The ceremony will feature a welcome address from the ASUWB President and remarks recognizing the hard work of student leaders and campus partners who brought SpringFest to life. This moment marks the start of a weekend filled with music, food, games, and community celebration. Don’t miss it!

Tables will have various aspects of the Deaf World. One will have ASL games, Variety of hearing aids the Deaf teacher wore, display boards of local agencies, a stand of a video on Deaf Culture with captions, attendees can draw a word out of a box and ASL students will show the attendee the signs, Posters of poems on deafness will be on the walls, etc.

The Springfest Pre-Event Tabling Fair is a collaborative promotional event hosted by the SEA (Student Engagement & Activities) Department. Scheduled for May 7th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the UWB Plaza, the event will showcase upcoming spring quarter SEA programs, including the Kickoff Carnival, the Rave, Film Fest, Bible Pop Café, and the Club Recognition Banquet. The purpose of the event is to increase awareness, student engagement, and attendance at SEA events while fostering community and excitement on campus.

UWB’s Student Engagement & Activities is collaborating with Cascadia Student Life and Activities & Recreation Center teams to create SpringFest 2025 on our joint campus from Wednesday, May 14th – Wednesday May 22nd and we are looking for collaborators! 

 Our amazing student leaders on UWB’s Campus Events Board (CEB) and Cascadia’s Events & Advocacy Board (EAB) will be organizing several large events throughout the week with more details coming.  I am reaching out now to get this event on calendars.  We would love to widen campus involvement during this festive week and would love for you all to be thinking about how you might be a part of this celebration for our students. Below is a way you can get involved: 

Consider putting on your own event or program during this week. This is a great time to showcase the work of your students, host an open house or develop new traditions to wrap up the year. If you are interested in participating in Springfest and are in need some ideas, please see below for a list of activities that have been done in the past:
