Located on the Lower Level of the Activities & Recreation Center, the ARC Fitness Center features state-of-the-art equipment and machines for use by currently enrolled University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College students, and faculty and staff from both institutions with the purchase of a Fitness Center Membership.

Currently enrolled University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College students do not need to purchase a membership. All eligible staff and faculty from the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College can purchase an ARC Fitness Center membership by visiting MyArc.uwb.edu. The focus of Intramural Activities at the Activities & Recreation Center (ARC) is to provide an environment where students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to gather and participate in various sport and leisure activities regardless of skill level and ability.

We understand that sports and recreation can be an area not all folks have experience in, which is why we host programs and events that are not only free, but rooted in learning, playing, and connecting with the campus through sports and activities. From our Quarterly skill building and open play events to our structured weekly leagues, we aim to offer a program for everyone here on campus. There is always space for all students at all of our events.

All currently enrolled and fee-paying students at both UW Bothell and Cascadia! Please remember to bring your student ID with you at check-in.

The Outdoor Wellness (OW) program’s mission is to provide strategic and intentional programming designed to diminish barriers to entry for outdoor recreation, increase competency and mental fortitude, develop skills for responsible participation in outdoor activities and optimize health through the nine dimensions of wellness. The purpose of the Tyto Orchestra is to bring music to the University of Washington Bothell campus through rehearsing and performing music live for the student body as a band. We want to create a space where all students of the club can have a say in the music we select to perform, so that students feel welcome and heard.

The mission of The White Coat Club is to support underserved students at the University of Washington Bothell, who aspire to pursue their careers in graduate studies, including biological sciences and healthcare professions. Our club offers targeted workshops, volunteer opportunities, research opportunities, and specialized training designed to promote both personal and professional growth. We aim to help students build well-rounded profiles that reflect their character, leadership potential, and commitment to civic responsibility. Through these efforts, we strive to empower and equip underserved students with the tools and opportunities necessary to achieve their academic and career goals.

TrickFire Robotics Club is a student-led organization at the University of Washington Bothell campus, focuses on student education through hands-on projects.

Since the 2022-23 school year, TrickFire Robotics competes in the University Rover Challenge (URC). For the URC, the club must deliver a Mars rover capable of aiding astronauts that can accomplish a variety of tasks, including:

Detection of life

Delivery of objects over hazardous terrain

Probing of an area for a geological specimen

Autonomous navigation towards points of interest over a kilometer in distance

Typing, tightening screws, undoing latches, and inserting a cache

TrickFire does not build a new rover each year, instead utilizing an iterative design process to modify and improve the previous year’s rover. For example, this year, we are redesigning portions of the arm to save weight and enhance stability while maintaining all mission capabilities. Furthermore, a drone will be employed for the competition’s delivery mission.

From 2016 to 2021, the club competed in Lunabotics, the NASA robotic mining competition, for which we built four autonomous lunar mining robots in total.
