MIA IMANI, a UWB alum, is a spiritual technologist and speculative architect focused on collective healing through art, ritual, and science. She uses installation, performance, and writing to explore and design new ways of being and belonging. Her practice maps sleep science/technology, global dream cultures and speculates the future of dreaming.

All Events Free and Open to the UWB Community

Sponsors: Student Engagement and Activities, The Office of the Chancellor, Critical Acts, The Simpson Center for the Humanities, and the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences.

The Dreaming Room // A Space Designed for Dreaming

How can we dream if our community can’t sleep?
The Dreaming Room is an exploration of healing that treasures being instead of doing. The audience is invited into this space to practice slowing down.

This space is yours.

It is time to use our radical imaginations to dream up a future where every university has dedicated areas for stillness, reflection, dreaming, and curiosity. With the current state of the world, we must dream and visualize the society we want to be a part of, while also giving space to acknowledge the collective nightmares, pain, and loss we have all experienced.

It is time to dream.
