Details

Ayọ̀ will be hosting a Language Showcase event for the Yoruba langauge spoken in Nigeria, Benin, and Togo. He will delve into the history of the language (periodization, genealogy), how the language formed, related languages, writing system and orthography, language art (music, poems, prose), and how the language relates to politics as a language imposed on others or suppressed by another language.

Food will be served at the event!
