Student Academic Showcase
Tuesday, March 15 - Thursday, March 15
The Student Academic Showcase is a campus-wide celebration featuring student learning and research journeys, collaborations, community partners, and networking. This annual showcase is a comprehensive event featuring students’ research and learning projects across all academic disciplines. It includes film screenings, student-led talks and exhibitions, artwork displays, oral presentations, and a poster session.
Designing an academic poster requires more than just putting information on a page. It’s about communicating your research clearly and effectively. This workshop will guide you through the essentials of poster design, content organization, and visual communication, helping you create a professional and engaging presentation.
Join us for the Oral Presentation workshop tailored specifically for students gearing up to present their research findings at the Student Academic Showcase. Learn essential tips and techniques to deliver a compelling oral presentation. From structuring your content to perfecting your delivery, this workshop will equip you with the skills you need to confidently showcase your research.
Join us for informal conversation about traveling abroad. A panel of UWB Study Abroad Ambassadors, students who’ve studied abroad with support from a UW Bothell scholarship, will share their global experiences in a casual setting.
Join us to learn about the Global Fellowships Prep (GFP), meet with UW fellowship advisors, and bring your questions about starting the Global Fellowship process. These opportunities are open to students from the start of their undergraduate journey through graduate school and beyond. You'll have the chance to connect with advisors and other UW students who are beginning the fellowship application process, as well as ask questions during the Q&A session.
This session will provide a basic overview of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, including the various program types, application components, and the process of submitting an application through the University of Washington. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is open to U.S. citizen students and alumni. Join the Global Fellowship Prep (GFP) program to learn about other funded, globally-focused opportunities and how to become a competitive applicant.

Whether you're conducting research for coursework or professional projects, this session will provide practical tools to enhance your digital literacy and research skills.
Developing a strong professional identity is key to career success. This workshop will help you build confidence in how you present yourself in professional settings by focusing on workplace professionalism, communication, and personal branding.
You’ll also participate in an elevator pitch exercise to practice introducing yourself effectively and learn strategies for building your digital presence and networking.
Effective collaboration is essential in any professional setting, and Microsoft 365 offers powerful tools to streamline teamwork and project management. This workshop will provide an overview of Microsoft Teams and Planner focusing on how to communicate efficiently, manage tasks, and collaborate in real time.
Learn how to organize projects, track progress, and improve workflow using these tools, whether you're working on academic projects or preparing for the workplace. Gain hands-on experience to enhance productivity and teamwork in a digital environment.
A group of Latino Leadership Initiative (LLI) members, connect their civic leadership goals and created a series of events focused on civic engagement in the Latinx Community. These events are open for all, including community members.
The UW Bothell Study Abroad Ambassador Scholarship helps to offset expenses required to participate in a study abroad program. Applicants must be current UW Bothell students enrolled in a degree program, residents of Washington State, have a minimum 2.75 GPA, and commit to promoting study abroad opportunities in the Bothell community upon their return as a Study Abroad Ambassador.
The Summer Research Awards (formerly known as Founders Fellows) provides $1500 awards to support UW Bothell undergraduate students participating in a structured research or creative project over the summer.
