So you want to buy a car?
In the Financial Lock Box Challenge students help John decide if he should buy a car. However, John locked his financial documents in four boxes and lost the combinations. Anticipating this, he left clues to unlock them. You must solve these clues, review his finances, and work together to advise him on whether purchasing a car is a wise decision.

This workshop is open to anyone who is planning on participating CELR for Winter 2025, Spring 2025, Summer 2025, or Autumn 2025! We will be going over all the risk management requirements to participate in community engagement so that you can be cleared for 365 and not have to worry about it next year. Digital Scholar, Kyle Lai, talks about his summer internship with others at the Digital Scholars Closing Presentations and Poster Session, November 2024.
Join a community of Southeast Asian/ BIPOC /first generation students to explore your identity and celebrate cultural strength and resilience. Gain hands-on experience through a community-engaged research project. Program runs in Winter and Spring Quarters. Visit the Connected Learning website and navigate to the Cohort Programs section to learn more about Southeast Asian Pasts and Futures (SEAPF). Applications are due by 11:59 PM on December 31.
The Udall Scholarship is for full-time sophomores and juniors in any major with a strong demonstrated commitment to environmental issues OR who are Native American/Alaska Native and committed to Native American healthcare OR tribal public policy. Each year, the Udall Foundation anticipates awarding 55 scholarships of up to $7,000. Udall applicants must be nominated by the UW.
The Mary Gates Research and Leadership scholarships provide UW undergraduates with the opportunity to enhance their leadership and research skills through hands-on experience, personal reflection, and mentorship. Open to students from all disciplines and citizenship statuses.
2024-25 Levinson Emerging Scholars Award Recipient
Dang Troung, recipient of the 2024-25 Levinson Emerging Scholars Award, researched cell mechanotransduction at UW Bothell. In Dr. Nathan J. Sniadecki’s Cell Biomechanics Lab, she studied platelet hemostasis with a microfluidic device, examining how medication, disease, and blood proteins affect Dual Antiplatelet Therapy in patients with elevated von Willebrand Factor and and its influences on embolization risk. Students Participate in the Seattle 48 Hour Film Project
The 48 Hour Film Project challenges teams to create a short film in just two days, with randomly assigned tasks like genre, character, and dialogue. Films are screened locally, with awards for categories like Best Film and Best Actor. Winning films may advance to international events, including the Cannes’ Short Film Corner. "Brown Pony" by Team Rain at Daybreak won the UW Bothell Intersectionality in Film Award for its sharp satire of Seattle’s coffee culture.
